The 8,338 square foot custom home sits on a terraced view lot along the Bears Best golf course in the Ridges. Strict community design guidelines required the home’s massing be stepped away from the street and from adjacent lots. That requirement, combined with the unconventional terraced lot resulted in a three-story structure that expresses the stepping architecturally. The strong floor and roof planes play off of the nearby mountain ranges and horizon.  Blackened steel panels and drought tolerant landscaping provide textural richness as one ascends the stepped entrance courtyard. Once inside the home, visitors experience the weightlessness of the sculptural steel and wood stair and are drawn to the floor-to-ceiling glass that overlooks the swimming pool, golf course and view of Red Rock Canyon.
